Seasonal Flowers and Frosty Days - Ruth and James's Valentines Day Wedding

Hi all,

I was feeling all romantic today so I thought I would bring you a romantic, slightly chilly, wedding from Valentines Day this year!  It is the first time we have ever had a bride on Valentines Day itself so it was a hectic yet very exciting day for us all here at Campbell's HQ.  Ruth and James got married at Christchurch Gleadless, which coincidentally was where my Mum and Dad got married years ago.  A beautiful church as you will see from the photographs.  The reception was held at the wonderful Whirlowbrook Hall in Sheffield.

Ruth and James love seasonal, wild flowers which is why they decided quite quickly that they wanted to work with us, which was just lovely to hear.  Ruth wanted a very lose, unstructured and hand tied with lots of textures and soft trails, along with splashes of colour to offset her chosen muted tones.  T and Mel used grasses, wheat and barley, seeds, berries, succulents, blue thistles, pussy willow, rosemary, muscari and ivy.  In fact the succulent in Ruth's bouquet was such a star of her design, that she promptly named it 'Stanley' and T received a little note, along with a snap to show that Stanley is potted up, doing well and is a really fab reminder of their special day!

A huge thank you to Jon from S6 Photography for sharing his wonderful images with us.
